Bay Window is a digital window installation created for Mozilla’s office on the Embarcadero in San Francisco. Given the location at the epicenter of Big Tech, we conceived of the window as a “digital poster” for Mozilla: A place in the real world where they can address issues such as digital rights, privacy and data abuse. Short messages such as “Who Owns The Internet?” and “Digital Rights = Human Rights” are interspersed with generative abstract graphics inspired by early computer art.
The custom light display features a three-dimensional, triangular grid derived from the preexisting window grid. All graphics are based on this non-square pixel and we developed a custom typeface specifically for the display.
