Visual identity for the 150th anniversary of the architecture department at MIT, spanning across print, web, motion and exhibitions. The source for the design was the archive of the department and all the projects, publications and images the individuals and the institution have produced. The archival material is graphically juxtaposed, creating new connections across time and space.

Grafik- und Ausstellungsdesign für das älteste Architekturprogramm in den USA Visuelle Identität für das 150-jährige Bestehen der Architekturabteilung des MIT, die sich über Print, Web, Motion und Ausstellungen erstreckt. Als Quelle für das Design dienten das Archiv der Abteilung und alle Projekte, Publikationen und Bilder, die von den einzelnen Personen und der Institution produziert wurden. Das Archivmaterial wird grafisch nebeneinander gestellt und schafft so neue Verbindungen über Zeit und Raum hinweg.

The visual design extends across the exhibition Drawing, Designing, Thinking: 150 Years of Teaching Architecture at MIT at the MIT Museum. It includes the titles and typography across five zones.
A centerpiece is a timeline that charts the 150 year history of the architecture department. It lists professors, deans and department heads, enrollment numbers as well as significant department events. The timeline was created using Google Sheets and P5 and a custom bin packing algorithm, then printed on a 30 foot canvas.

Das visuelle Design erstreckt sich über die Ausstellung Drawing, Designing, Thinking: 150 Years of Teaching Architecture at MIT. Es umfasst die Titel und Typografie der fünf Ausstellungsbereiche.
Ein zentrales Element ist eine Zeitleiste, welche die 150-jährige Geschichte der Architekturabteilung aufzeichnet. Sie listet Professor*innen, Dekane und Abteilungsleitungen, Immatrikulationen sowie bedeutende Ereignisse der Abteilung auf. Die Zeitleiste wurde mit Google Sheets und P5 sowie einem individuellen Bin-Packing-Algorithmus erstellt und dann auf eine neun Meter lange Leinwand gedruckt.
